The Foundation today
The museum that rises
Thanks to the contribution of Fondazione Cariplo, Boschi Di Stefano Foundation curated the project “THE MUSEUM THAT RISES – Casa Museo Boschi Di Stefano between creative hub and urban regeneration” in partnership with the City of Milan. The project made it possible to:
- improve accessibility through the installation of a retractable elevator platform for people with motor disabilities or reduced mobility and through the adaptation of the historic elevator;
- create a program of new cultural offerings, called “The Museum Next Door”, which includes didactic and educational activities for schools of all grades, workshops with artists in the former School of Ceramics and a program of thematic and in-depth guided tours;
- develop new multimedia tools to implement museum visits using digital technologies and new devices.

Publications
The “Companion Guides”
of the Boschi Di Stefano Foundation
published with no fixed periodicity, are intended to document aspects related to the Boschi Di Stefano Collection both regarding the works and the figures of the collectors and their families, and finally the Milanese cultural environment in which the collection of works matured and developed in the central years of the last century.
Small guides have been edited on the contents of the Casa Museo; the first, The Works, and the second, The Furnishings, respectively with texts by Maria Teresa Fiorio and Ornella Selvafolta, illustrate the museum itinerary room by room.
Three Family Albums have been produced: no. 1, dedicated to Marieda Di Stefano’s family and adolescence, was introduced by Alessandro Mendini, her grandson; while no. 2, focused on Mr. and Mrs. Boschi’s married life, with particular emphasis on their free time and the vacation places they frequented together, is accompanied by a text by Ezio Antonini. Concluding the series is No. 3, centred around the couple’s journeys, with an introduction by Giacomo Corna Pellegrini.
In memory of a series of concerts organized in the House-Museum in 2003, it had already been published the notebook L’aria della sera, edited by Francesco Degrada.
The books are not intended for sale, but to promote the value of the House-Museum.
